CVC EC Signs United Nations-Supported Principles for Responsible Investment
CVC Emerging Companies today announced that it has signed the United Nations-supported Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI). The PRI is an international global network of asset managers, owners and service providers working together to put responsible investment into practice. The principles aim to provide a framework for integrating environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) considerations into investment decision-making and ownership practices.
CVC EC Portfolio Manager Jonathan Pearce said: “As institutional investors, we have a duty to act in the best long-term interests of our beneficiaries. In this fiduciary role, we believe that environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) issues can affect the performance of investment portfolios.”
“We are delighted to welcome CVC Emerging Companies as a PRI signatory”, said David Atkin, CEO of the PRI. “Their commitment demonstrates the growing awareness and importance of ESG to the investment decision-making process.”
